With over 25 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, Jeff Sharra brings a deep passion for wine, a rich background in hospitality, and a genuine love of storytelling to every glass he pours. As a Certified Sommelier through the Court of Master Sommeliers, Jeff has made it his mission not only to understand wine — but to share the stories behind each bottle: the land, the history, and the people who make it all possible.

Jeff’s journey into wine began with true commitment in 2015, when he began studying under a Master Sommelier and winemaker based in the Finger Lakes region. Under this mentorship, Jeff embraced the philosophy that great wine is as much about its origin and narrative as it is about taste — an approach that continues to shape his immersive wine experiences today.

Throughout his career, Jeff has built a reputation for curating unforgettable events, including food and wine pairing dinners, chef’s table experiences, and educational seminars that attract a diverse range of guests—from seasoned wine enthusiasts to those simply looking for unique and enriching culinary experiences. His ability to connect with people and guide them through thoughtful pairings and behind-the-scenes moments has become a hallmark of his engaging and inclusive hosting style.

Today, as Wine Director at REDD Rochester — the acclaimed restaurant led by Michelin-Starred Chef Richard Reddington — Jeff continues to deepen his expertise, collaborating with winemakers, master sommeliers, and industry luminaries. He’s led wine dinners, charity events, and sommelier teams, all while shaping a dynamic and forward-thinking wine program that reflects his passion for both tradition and innovation.
