Day 1

Louisville, Kentucky

Arrive early afternoon for your first stop at iconic Louisville Slugger Museum.  Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory is all about celebrating the extraordinary role of Louisville Slugger in baseball’s past, present and future. They are here to delight guests and create joyful, lifetime memories.  Baseball connects generations it’s here every day. Since the sport is such a big part of American history and culture, even visitors who don’t consider themselves big fans find something here that resonates with them. Maybe it’s the fun stories and fascinating machinery in the factory, or the hands on exhibits, or one of our special exhibitions that broaden the interpretation of baseball.  Enjoy dinner at one of the find restaurants nearby.

Day 2

Louisville, Kentucky/Clarksville, Indiana

Start off your morning with an unforgettable tour of Louisville through the eyes of Lincoln.  Abraham Lincoln comes to life before your eyes through a first-person historical actor.  And you’re off… for fun and excitement when you visit the Kentucky Derby Museum. Come and experience the most dynamic and unique celebration known worldwide as the “Greatest Two Minutes in Sports™”. Get an up close and personal view of the event that has WOW-ed the world for over 145 years.  This evening enjoy Derby Dinner Playhouse, the theatrical entertainment leader in both Indiana and neighboring state Kentucky, noted for their professional productions of Broadway musicals and lighthearted comedies. Each dinner theatre production comes alive with the magic of lights, costumes, a live orchestra, and a stage full of professional performers.

Day 3

Louisville, Kentucky/Starlight, Indiana

Kick off your day with a visit to Evan Williams Experience.  Located on Louisville’s historic “Whiskey Row,” the Evan Williams Experience features an artisanal distillery tours, tastings and more!  Celebrating the legacy of Evan Williams, Kentucky’s first distiller, this immersive experience brings to life the history and tradition of Kentucky’s native spirit.  Next your off to the Belle of Louisville for a spectacular lunch cruise.  Belle of Louisville Riverboats presents history through a variety of engaging cruise and dockside events—entertaining and educating over 12 million passengers since 1963. A National Historic Landmark and an icon of the Louisville Waterfront, the Belle is the only remaining authentic steamboat from the great American packet boat era on America’s waterways. At 105 years old and counting, the Belle remains purely steam-powered and paddlewheel-propelled.

End your day with a scenic ride to Starlight, Indiana where you’ll visit Huber’s Farm & Orchard for dinner.  Tradition. Heritage. Family. Day 4

Jeffersonville, New Albany & Clarksville, Indiana

Before you head home indulge your sweet tooth with a stop at Schimpf’s Confectionery.  G.A. Schimpff’s Confectionery is one of the oldest, continuously operated, family-owned candy businesses in the United States. It was opened in its present location in 1891 by Gustav Schimpff Sr. and Jr. This unique confectionery and lunch room in Jeffersonville’s downtown historic district comes complete with a 50’s soda fountain and original tin ceiling. The old-fashioned candy jars, cases, and turn-of-the century equipment transport you back to the good old days of home-made candy and a real fountain drink.  Visit Culberston Mansion for a game of Clue, team up with your fellow passengers to solve the murders as you explore this beautiful mansion.

In all the world, there is no other place like it. The Falls of the Ohio State Park and its Interpretive Center are the crossroads of ancient lives and future hopes. The park features the largest exposed Devonian fossil bed in the world and is part of a 1,404-acre National Wildlife Conservation Area.
