Day 1

Oh, the things you will see! What better to begin this odyssey than with the Amazing World of Dr. Seuss Museum? Your guide will lead you through this museum built as a celebration of Theodor Geisel, who was born and raised in Springfield, MA.

The Hampton Inn, Chicopee is one of the top-rated Hampton Inns and the ideal location for this adventure.

When dining at the Steaming Tender Restaurant in Palmer, MA, you will travel back to a golden age and enjoy a New England treasure housed within the 1884 Union Passenger Station.

Day 2

Massachusetts group tours
Old Sturbridge Village

Travel back in time to Old Sturbridge Village – the largest outdoor history museum in the Northeast, depicting a rural New England town of the 1830’s. Step inside more than 40 original buildings and speak with authentically-costumed historians and see heritage breed farm animals.

Enjoy a delicious lunch and entertaining presentation during lunch!

This afternoon and evening it’s a fair to remember – The Big E!!  Take all 6 New England States, add in their unique food specialties, horse shows, specialty tents, a midway, a circus, a parade and live music, and you have a magnificent afternoon and evening (6 hours). Admission to the circus is included.

Day 3

Norman Rockwell Museum

The Berkshires are calling.  Stockbridge is the quintessential New England village nestled in the Berkshires Mountains and where Norman Rockwell settled down to create his amazing body of work.  The Norman Rockwell Museum and Studio House the largest collection of his works, including all his Saturday Evening Post covers.  You will be surprised how prolific he was and the depth of meaning and effort put into each.

There is time in Stockbridge for exploring and lunch on your own.

Go back in time, forward in thought: Hancock Shaker Village brings the Shaker story to life and preserves it for future generations. Your lively and knowledgeable guide will escort you on a walking tour of this working farm and historic Village, highlighting the most significant buildings — the Brick Dwelling, Round Stone Barn, and Laundry & Machine Shop. Come away with a deep appreciation of the Shakers as you explore themes of community, farming, innovation and technology, including Shaker design heritage.

Shaker Supper and Songs
“We make you kindly welcome” in true Shaker fashion with this unique dining experience. Enjoy a cider & cheese reception, followed by a bountiful four-course Shaker-inspired supper buffet. Dinner begins with the singing of a Shaker grace and closes with music that illuminates Shaker beliefs and spirituality.
