Join us for an exciting cruise through the fjords of Norway. On a Havila cruise (the newest ships on the Norwegian coast), don’t expect a typical “cruise” experience. The Norwegian Coastal Express is a different kind of voyage. The journey, ships, ports and scenery, and the history behind it results in a unique, special and authentic experience like no other.
Your ship will anchor at 34 different coastal ports, both day and night. In smaller locations the stops range from 10 to 45 minutes, but in larger cities you will have more time to explore. At most of the small stops you will not even notice we are stopping. The ship also acts as a ferry giving you the unique experience to mingle with some locals while you dine.
The Norwegian Coastal Express Northbound starts in the historic city of Bergen and stretches all the way to Kirkenes around the North Cape and above the Arctic Circle. The 7-day voyage covers 1,250 nautical miles, showcasing magnificent scenes and landscapes that will take your breath away. From the comfortable chairs beside the ship’s numerous floor-to-ceiling windows, enjoy unrivaled views of the jagged cliffs and mountains, the seabirds, and the quaint villages along the coastline.
The internal décor of the ships is inspired by the sea, the sky, mountains and glaciers, and the food served are traditional and modern dishes from the local towns and villages along the route.
